The Late Actress Cynthia Okereke’s Husband Begs For Assistance And Criticizes AGN
Mr. Okechukwu Okereke, the late Nollywood actress Cynthia Okere’s husband, has publicly disclosed that his family is currently struggling financially to plan the funeral ceremony for his late wife.
Mr. Okechukwu Okereke lamented the failure of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to help his family. During a phone chat, he told Vanguard that he is the sole organizer of his wife’s burial arrangements, with assistance from his son. He underlined the critical need for financial assistance in order to conduct a dignified send-off for his late wife.
Mr. Okereke explained that his wife’s death was caused by the trauma of her kidnapping the previous year, and that she had been in and out of the hospital since her abduction and final release before her untimely death last month. Agbogidi reportedly said that while in captivity, the late actress begged the captors to provide her medication for her high blood pressure, to which they reluctantly complied.
Mr. Okereke, on the other hand, has made a plea to his late wife’s friends, colleagues, and admirers, imploring them to band together and support his family’s efforts to secure a decent funeral for the late actress. Concerning the ransom paid to his wife’s captors, Mr. Okereke revealed that they had borrowed N3.5 million, which they were still repaying, in order to secure the release of his wife.
