Will.I.Am Introduces His New Radio Show With An AI Co-host

Will.i.am is launching his new podcast, “Will.i.am Presents The FYI Show,” with the co-hosting assistance of artificial intelligence

The new radio show will begin on SiriusXM’s The 10s Spot on January 25th, and will air weekly on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. Qd.pi, SiriusXM’s first AI co-host, will debate music, pop culture, technology, and AI-related issues with the Black Eyed Peas’ leader and tech geek. The entertainment mogul has embraced almost every emerging technology development throughout the years.

In 2008, he became a hologram and went on to judge a hologram singing competition, create a voice assistant, make Bluetooth face masks, become a digital bank’s strategic adviser, unveil wireless headphones resembling stethoscopes, pitch reality shows about apps, and express his concerns about 3D printers printing human faces.

Naturally, will.i.am’s most recent experiment with the newest technology is artificial intelligence. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Will.i.am recently revealed plans to start a SiriusXM radio program with an AI theme. Will.i.am’s FYI app, an AI-powered artistic collaboration and communication tool he released last year, powers the interactive show.

In the first episode, rapper Xzibit—who hosted the MTV series Pimp My Ride from 2004 to 2007—will discuss the interconnections of technology, sound, and automobiles. Harvey Mason Jr., a music producer and CEO of the Grammy Awards, will be featured in the upcoming episode.
