The Organizers Of BBNaija Share How Much It Cost To Host The All-Stars Show

The much-anticipated reality TV program BBNaija All Stars, which brought back some of Nigeria’s most well-known and controversal housemates from previous seasons, is said to have cost its producers a significant sum of money. The extravagant production and rising costs linked to hosting this celebrity-studded Big Brother Naija topped a staggering N5.5 billion, according to latest estimates.

At the winner’s prize presentation on Tuesday in Lagos, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice Nigeria, made this announcement. It’s no news now that Ilebaye, a 22-year-old model from Kogi, took home the N120 million grand prize on Sunday.

Devoted viewers of the BBNaija show saw Ilebaye crowned as the champion on October 1, 2022, which was Independence Day. Given the fierce competition she encountered from fellow finalists Adekunle, Mercy Eke, Cross, Cee C, and Pere, her rise to gold was no simple task. Unsure of who would finally win the sought-after prize, fans were in a pickle.

The Big Brother Naija victor in previous seasons was frequently as predictable as the sunrise, with social media sentiment favoring a particular contestant. Ilebaye, however, bucked expectations and emerged as the underdog in this thrilling race. Despite being viewed as the underdog, she won by taking first place on the results with an amazing 30.08% of the votes.
