Wizkid Co-Signs Shallipopi; Shows His Love For ‘Ex-convict’ Song Again
Wizkid recently shared a video on social media where he openly expressed his love again for Shallipopi’s “Ex-convict” for the second time after posting on his IG weeks back.
The new video has appeared on social media, demonstrating Wizkid’s fondness for Shallipopi’s most recent single, “Ex-Convict,” from his six-track EP, Planet Pluto. Wizkid is a Grammy Award-winning artist, and the song has become synonymous with the ” Evian” tag.
Wiz was seen in the club, dancing to the song’s intro dance by Shalli and singing along with DJ Tunez. Wiz previously tweeted a photo of himself listening to Shallipopi’s “Ex-Convict” on the internet streaming service Apple Music, demonstrating how much he enjoys the song. The crowd in the club cheered as Wiz effortlessly moved to the beat, showcasing his undeniable passion for music. The singer’s arrest and detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Kaduna in May 2023 inspired the hit song, Ex-Convict. According to Shallipopi, he experienced a turning point; thus, music was born. The song Ex-Convict became an instant sensation and served as a platform for Shallipopi to shed light on the injustices he witnessed during his time in detention, despite the sexual undertones the track carries.
