Black Sherif, a musician from Ghana’s thriving music scene, has once more delighted the music business with his voice and released a gripping two-track collection titled, “Take Care of Yourself, Blacko.” The high-voltage singles YAYA and SIMMER DOWN, both of which radiate a unique energy that only Black Sherif can summon, are included in the bundle, which offers a dual sonic experience.

These songs, which Joker Nharnah and Samsney jointly produced, provide as a musical invitation into the complexities of Black Sherif’s creative realm. Black Sherif’s debut album, which has only been out for a little over a year, is already expected to go down in history as one of the finest debuts ever. And the new two-track EP nicely continues the legacy of his debut based on its theme.

Tracks and Features

The opening tune, YAYA, introduces a heart-pounding pace and a synthesis of genres that exemplifies Black Sherif’s ability to combine parts flawlessly. With the help of the producers, the song takes the listener on a musical journey that captures their attention from the first note and guides them through a maze of beats, melodies, and emotions. As he navigates subjects that connect with the audience’s experiences, Black Sherif’s lyrical skill pops through, raising the piece above its instrumental arrangement.

He doesn’t feel any pressure while performing YAYA. The emotional resonance of his voice and the fragmentary unpredictability of his bars, delivered in a multilingual flow, do honor to Joker’s production as expected. Blacko’s bonding abilities with producers go one step further, creating another well-refined song with Samsney, who did not fail to throw in the hard Drill components that define Blacko’s sound

The second jewel in this delivery, SIMMER DOWN, follows a different sound path. It provides a more reflective and meditative experience, highlighting the versatility of Black Sherif’s artistic expression. The song touches the heart and inspires a moment of meditation with a soft yet alluring arrangement. Black Sherif’s versatility as an artist is demonstrated by his easy transition between various musical moods.

The song seems like it was developed immediately after “Oh Paradise”; it is packed with Drill’s loud, hard-thumping percussion and Samsney’s silky strings. K.K. sounds confident that everything will be just fine. With its catchy hook, you just know the streets will eat this up.
