Iyanya Biography
Nigerian Afropop music singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, also known by his stage name Iyanya, was born on October 31, 1986. He became well-known after winning the grand prize in Project Fame West Africa’s inaugural season, and his biggest hit is “Kukere.” In 2011, he and Ubi Franklin co-founded the record company Made Men Music Group.
At the 2013 Headies, he received the Artist of the Year honor. Iyanya announced that he had signed a record deal with Mavin Records in October 2016 via Instagram. He had a management contract with Temple Management Company a few months before. In July 2016, he declared his desire to depart Made Men Music Group.

Iyanya’s father was a forester, while his mother was a headmistress. Iyanya has stated that his father was the kinder of the two, with his mother serving as the household’s disciplinarian. His mother, who was 42 years old, and his father, who was 50 years old, both passed away in 2008. Their names and other details about them remain scarce. To honor their memory, the singer had an inked tattoo of their names on his arm.
