Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, famously called Kendrick Lamar, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is referred to as one of the most influential rappers of his generation. Lamar is one of the most successful rappers of all time. Lamar is a member of the hip-hop supergroup Black Hippy.
Under the name K.Dot, Lamar began his music career as a teenager. He released the mixtape “Y.H.N.I.C (Hub City Threat Minor Of The Year).” The mixtape garnered local attention and led him to sign with the indie label TDE. He gained mainstream recognition following the release of “Overly Dedicated.” A year later, he independently released his debut album “Section.80”.
