Quavious Keyate Marshall, popularly known as Quavo, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. Quavo is famous for being the co-founder and frontman of the Hip Hop group, Migos. He is the uncle of the late fellow Migos member, Takeoff, and cousin of fellow member, Offset. Quavo is also a partial owner of the FCF Glacier Boyz.
Quavo, his older sisters, and the other members of the Migos trio, Takeoff and Offset, were raised by Quavo’s mother, Edna Marshall. They were raised in the suburbs of the neighboring town city of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Takeoff is Quavo’s nephew, while Offset is Quavo’s cousin. Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset grew up listening to OutKast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, and Master P.
With Quavo, his mother also had two daughters. His sisters have said that he was their mother’s favorite child. According to them, she always forgave him for almost everything. Quavo’s older sisters are named Titania Davenport-Treet and Shara Reed.
He also has an older paternal half-brother who he has never met in person. His mother told him about him, and he embarked on a search for his half-brother. Quavo believes that a man named Willie Bands, who he found on social media, is his lost half-brother. After they connected, Quavo and Willie grew close. Willie supervises Quavo on tours.
Quavo said his father died when he was young. He said he could have been between 5 and 6 years old at the time but does not remember him well. Quavo’s mother is named Edna Marshall. She was born on Friday, 2 October 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Edna has two daughters and a son.
Edna passed away at 82 on Saturday, March 30, 2019. She is believed to have been the main mother figure for all of them, and they all called her “mama.” While she was alive, she was very close to the boys. Quavo’s fans noted that she treated him like he was her man. Quavo and Takeoff once surprised Edna with a house.
In 2017, Quavo was in a brief relationship with actress and model Karrueche Tran.
In September 2018, Quavo began dating Saweetie. The couple was together until March 2021. Saweetie announced on March 19, 2021, via social media that she and Quavo are no longer in a relationship. She also shared on social media that Quavo had been unfaithful. She wrote, “Presents don’t band-aid scars, and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
Video footage showing the pair in a physical altercation surfaced in late March 2021. The argument allegedly happened in 2020.
In January 2022, Quavo and Karrueche Tran were rumored to have rekindled their love after they were spotted on holiday together in Saint Martin at the beginning of the new year. Quavo and Tran were seen walking together amongst a crowd of their entourage along scenic mountain views.
