50 Cent Boasts About Mary J. Blige’s Salary To Show His Commitment To Supporting Taraji P. Henson

50 Cent is hoping to help Taraji P. Henson get the same big bag that he helped Mary J. Blige land in the acting industry. Prior to this, the head of G-Unit had contacted Henson via social media following her admission on Empire that she had fired her whole staff for not capitalizing on the show’s success.

As proof that he is committed to working with the Oscar contender, 50 is now pointing to Blige’s pay. For the first time ever, Mary J. Blige plays regular TV character Monet Stewart Tejada in Power Book II: Ghost. According to reports, the R&B icon is paid $400,000 every episode, making her one of the highest-paid women on television.

However, her salary is more than twice that of Taraji P. Henson, who starred in Empire, despite the fact that Empire had a longer runtime. Terrence Howard, Henson’s co-star on Empire, was also publicly contacted by 50 Cent after he voiced complaints about his salary on the popular program.

The actor of the 50 biopic Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, Howard has been outspoken about his dissatisfaction with his Empire income. He even sued his own agency, CAA, alleging they failed to put his interests first.
