Athletics Integrity Unit Appeals Tobi Amusan’s Case To CAS
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has received an appeal from the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) challenging the Disciplinary Tribunal’s ruling that Nigerian athlete Tobi Amusan did not violate the anti-doping rule for “Whereabouts Failures.”
Even though the AIU submitted its appeal on Friday, September 15, exactly on schedule, the organization didn’t make its decision public until Monday with a brief comment on its X page (previously Twitter). Just 24 hours after her masterful performance in Eugene, Oregon, when she won an incredible third consecutive Diamond League title, AIU made public its appeal against Amusan.
