Beyoncé’s Hair Care Line, Cécred, Accused Of Packaging Design Theft

Beyoncé’s hair care line, Cécred, is receiving a lot of negative press due to allegations from another business that it copied the box design. Fashion expert Fiona Glen started the discussion on LinkedIn by pointing out odd parallels between Beyoncé’s brand and TWYG (pronounced “twig”), a skincare company based in New Zealand.

In response, Amanda Gaskin, the designer of the TWYG packaging, made a more pointed complaint against Cécred in the comments area. Opinions on whether Beyoncé and her crew are guilty of design theft diverged on social media after the charges received widespread notice.

Beyoncé fans pointed out in a heated discussion on The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram page that Cécred has been in the works for a number of years. Beyoncé has not yet responded to the allegations. The former member of Destiny’s Child released a teaser for her new hair care brand last month; it went on sale on February 20.

The singer made her first mention of the business in an Instagram post from the previous year, though she didn’t say exactly what she was working on. Meanwhile, Beyoncé was also previously charged with stealing images from The Weeknd’s collaborator Hajime Sorayama for her Renaissance global tour.

Renowned Japanese illustrator Sorayama objected to certain designs Bey utilized on her historic 2023 tour, claiming they were copies of his own creations.
