Burna Boy and Asake were nominated in the star-studded International Artist of the Year category, while Rema’s “Calm Down” was in the highly sought-after International Song of the Year category.

In the International Artist of the Year category, the two will go up against global superstars like Miley Cyrus, SZA, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Lanarkshire Del Rey, CMAT, and Caroline Polachek.

“Calm Down” is up against international hits like “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish, “Paint The Town Red” by Doja Cat, “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, “Kill Bill” by SZA, “People” by Libianca, “People” by Cameroonian diva, and “Water” by South African songwriter Tyla in the International Song of the Year competition.

Raye leads the field for the 2024 Brit Awards with seven nominations total, making history as the first artist to garner seven nominations in a single year. Beyond even the Oscars and Grammys, the Brits have an astounding 15 nominees in two categories: song of the year and international song of the year.

The 02 Arena in London is the venue where the awards are expected to be held on Saturday, March 2. This year’s event will be the show’s second consecutive weekend run. ITV1 and ITVX will both air the program live.
