Celine Dion Makes Her First Public Appearance After Nearly Four Years

On Monday, October 30, the legendary singer, Celine Dion, attended the ice hockey team’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights, marking her first significant public appearance since disclosing her health struggles with stiff-person syndrome.

René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, the singer’s first son and her twins with her late husband René Angélil, as well as Dion herself, attended the game in Sin City’s T-Mobile Arena. Videos of the Grammy winner and her children visiting the Canadiens in their locker room following the game has been made public and since received positive attention from the fans on social media.

Dressed chic in a white, quilted vest over a tan sweater, Céline entered the locker room to meet her hometown team after witnessing the Vegas Golden Knights play the Montreal Canadiens at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer was seen posing for photos with her kids and shaking hands with teammates.

With Céline’s arm around her, the vice president of communications for the Canadiens posted pictures of herself on Instagram with the singer.

According to the Stiff Person Syndrome Foundation, Dion’s health condition affects the central nervous system, primarily the brain and spinal cord. It is an uncommon and incurable neurological disorder that can produce crippling muscle spasms.

Following the cancellation of her shows, a source revealed back in May that Dion was “doing everything she can” to be strong enough to get back on stage.
