Chaka, who is 69, stated during an appearance on “The Originals,” a podcast by Los Angeles Magazine, that she had never even heard of the list till the host brought it up.
For the List, Chaka grumbled and said, “Alright, I quit,” when she was told Adele was ahead of her, and “It must be payola or some s*** like that” when the Star was told Mariah was at No. 5.Chaka Khan Revives Mary J. Legendary Mary J. Blige was placed ahead of her on the list, and Chaka exploded, saying, “These b****es are blind as a motherf***ing bat!” in hilarious tones. She couldn’t believe it. “They need hearing aids,” she continued. ” They don’t have hearing aids? They have no eyes. They have no ears. They must have a – these b****es, you know what? These must be the children of Helen Keller!.”

Many will not be surprised by Chaka’s reaction. Over the years, Chaka and Mary’s relationship has been bumpy, but they seem to get along again.

Chaka debuted the song “Sweet Thing” in 1975 while she was a member of the band Rufus, and Mary released a cover of it in 1992. Unfortunately, Chaka began calling Sweet Thing “the song Mary J. Blige f***ed up” at her shows, so it’s clear that the cover did not go over well with her.

The two women did perform a breakup duet titled Disrespectful in 2007, though, indicating that their relationship had improved by that point. This latest by Chaka will only serve to revive the supposed squashed beef -or so Netizens think.
