Chris Shiflett Of The Foo Fighters Releases A New Single And Announces A Solo Album

Chris Shiflett, the guitarist and singer-songwriter for the Foo Fighters, has debuted the title of his third solo album, “Lost At Sea.” ‘Lost At Sea’ will be released in the UK and Ireland on October 20 through Snakefarm, it was announced today (July 12). According to Shiflett on Twitter, the album will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, July 13.

A brand-new track called “Damage Control” is released along with the news of “Lost At Sea.” The music video for “Damage Control” was shot by fans during Shiflett’s most recent UK tour.

‘Damage Control’ is the third single to be released, following ‘Dead And Gone’ and ‘Black Top White Lines’. When ‘Lost At Sea’ is released in October, those tracks will also be included on it. According to Shiflett’s press release, “Lost At Sea” was mostly written during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Just a few months have passed since the Foo Fighters’ first record without late drummer Taylor Hawkins, “But Here We Are,” was released. In March 2022, Hawkins passed away in a Colombian hotel room. He was fifty years old.

Additionally, The Foo Fighters verified long-running rumors that they were behind mystery band The Churnups during a not-so-surprise visit at Glastonbury following the release of “But Here We Are.”
