Comedian Basketmouth Finally Apologizes To AY, Others In Trending Video
After a 17-year conflict, popular comic Basketmouth has at last expressed his apologies to his colleague AY. Remember how AY and Basketmouth’s ongoing dispute from years ago made headlines? In 2021, Basketmouth stated that he had a falling out with AY because “he messed with loyalty” in a Black Box interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
He added that they had “never been friends.”
“To be honest, I don’t want that guy (AY) to ever hear from me,”
In response to the long-standing rift, AY blamed a lousy business deal that happened in 2006 in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo in May 2023. However, Basketmouth, attempting to sell tickets for his forthcoming event in November, asked AY and the other individuals he offended for forgiveness. Basketmouth acknowledged the impact of the rift on their relationship and expressed genuine remorse for his past actions. He emphasized his commitment to reconciliation and hoped forgiveness could pave the way for a fresh start and a renewed bond.
Furthermore, according to Basketmouth, the quarrel had a negative impact on their careers, resulting in missed opportunities for collaboration and gigs. He did, however, indicate a desire to move past the past and repair their professional relationship. The comedian offered a public apology in a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, accepting blame for the 17-year rift.
