Doja Cat Makes Billboard Chart History As She Starts The New Year Off With A Bang

Doja Cat is the first female rapper to record two Top 10 solo tracks on the Billboard Hot 100, making her an impressive start to 2024.

As the holiday tunes make their way off the weekly list, Doja’s “Agora Hills” shot up to No. 10 this week from No. 35 on the chart, and “Paint the Town Red” also had a significant jump, moving up from No. 29 to the fourth position, according to Chart Data.

The native of Los Angeles currently holds nine Top 10 hits in total. “Say So” from 2020 marked her first Top 10 and No. 1 position. The songs “Paint the Town Red,” which she featured on Ariana Grande’s “34 + 35” in 2020 and 2021, which peaked at No. 2, and “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA in 2021, which peaked at No. 3, trail after it.

Her 2022 appearance on Post Malone’s “I Like You,” which also peaked at No. 3, 2021’s “Woman” and “Need To Know,” which peaked at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively, 2023’s “Vegas,” which peaked at No. 10, and now “Agora Hills” are among the other top charting songs.

As part of her maiden arena tour, Doja Cat is now performing the latter song across the United States and Europe. The track is also the most recent single off her “Scarlet” album, which was released in September.
