Drake Offers To Pay Off A Fan’s Deceased Mother’s Debt

Drake has been connecting more with his fans, whether on the ‘It’s All A Blurtour with 21 Savage last year or his current ‘Big As The What?’ tour with J. Cole. He has recently gained immense recognition for his compassionate nature while touring and social media haven’t been quiet.

On Saturday, March 2, the artist gave enormous help and a passionate moment of tribute to a fan in Kansas City during his show. Onstage, the 6ix God got a note from a nearby fan, asking if he could settle the debt at his late mother’s home. Drake questioned this fan, who handed him a note outlining their predicament. Indeed, this is another reason to applaud Drake and his team’s work: what they have to deal with and the apparently challenging process they must go through in order to send this money to the proper person.

Drizzy had asked,

“This is it?”

“You said, ‘Pay off my mom’s house, rest in peace.’ Your mom passed away? Alright, and you owe… Oh, this is the outstanding balance right here. This is a lot of money right here. But you know what? I’ma pay off your momma’s house for you. That’s a lot of money right here. That’s 106 bands right here, but I’m gonna pay out of my pocket, that’s going to come from me. Rest in peace to your momma, rest in peace to your momma.”

Also, the ‘Big As The What?’ tour has been the subject of tragic and sad news lately. A car had hit and killed a mother and daughter on the street as they were returning home after his event in Missouri. The Toronto performer honored their memory while visiting Buffalo.

At Drizzy and Cole’s Cleveland gig, Machine Gun Kelly and Doe Boy were among the many notable guests that attended this run of shows. Thus far, the journey has been quite well-balanced, offering amusement, optimism, spectacle, poignant moments, and most importantly, wonderful connections made through art. Although many touring performers can be said to have similar qualities, these actions surpass expectations.
