Ed Sheeran Donates His Boxers And Other Clothing To A Charity Auction

Ed Sheeran has given 445 clothing and accessory items—including his underwear—to charity. To provide much-needed finances, the items have been donated to the Framlingham, Suffolk, shop of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), where the singer was raised.

On the charity’s eBay page, a number of the items will be up for auction, and bidding will commence later this week. The director of communications and fundraising for EACH, Kevin Clements, called what Sheeran did an extraordinary gesture.

The donation included a range of clothing items, Ipswich Town memorabilia, belts, backpacks, and hats in addition to socks and boxers.

An announcement from the charity stated, “Garments will not be washed or ironed – they will be sold as received,” while it was revealed that Sheeran had worn around half of the underwear. A signed letter of authenticity will also be included with every item that is sold.

This year, EACH plans to unveil at least 186 products in three auctions, which will take place on November 16, November 26, and December 3. Twenty of the remaining 239 will be held back for the launch of new EACH shops, while the remaining 239 will be listed in a second sale early in 2024.

According to Mr. Clements, Sheeran’s kindness will generate thousands of pounds for the charity, with each item starting at £9.99.
