Her achievement, which follows her selection as the 2024 YEN Entertainment Awards’ Female musician of the Year winner, makes her the first female musician from Ghana to reach that milestone. With this accomplishment, she joins the ranks of other national music stars, such as Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Camidoh.

Superstars from across the continent, like Diamond Platinumz and Rayvanny from Tanzania and Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, and Omah Lay from Nigeria, have also achieved comparable success on the streaming platforms.

The singer, real name Jackline Acheampong, signed with Flip The Music and Sony Music. She made her music debut in 2019 with the song “Love is Pretty,” which was followed by “Never Like This.” The singer experienced widespread success following the publication of “Forever” in 2020, and she has had an incredible journey ever since.

So far, Gyakie has released two EPs, Seed and My Diary, as well as numerous hit songs, such as “Something,” “Need Me,” “Scar,” and most recently, “Rent Free.” From all indications, this year will see the publication of the artist’s debut album. The musician joined the British copyright group PRS for Music last year.
