Halle Bailey Welcomes First Child With Rapper DDG
Halle Bailey and her boyfriend DDG are officially new parents! The pair, who have been romantically linked since January 2022, confirmed in an Instagram post on January 6 that they welcomed a son named Halo.
Bailey wrote in the caption;
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo,”. “The world is desperate to know you.”
Halle Bailey’s pregnancy has been the subject of intense speculation recently. Numerous rumours have been circulating since earlier this year, a few months after the promotions for The Little Mermaid wrapped up. During the summer, many people online started theorizing that Bailey was trying to conceal her growing belly by wearing loose-fitting clothes. In August, Halle and her sister Chlöe were spotted at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour stop in Atlanta. While Chlöe wore a midriff-baring outfit, Halle chose a loose dress shirt from Valentino. At the 2023 MTV VMAs in September, she wore a flowing dress that fueled the rumours. Bailey’s travel to Europe to attend various fashion weeks, where she continued to wear more discreet, looser styles, only intensified the speculation. However, the rumours appeared to halt at Milan Fashion Week, where Bailey wore a yellow shirt dress with a tightly cinched belt at the waist, ending the speculation.
In October 2023, new photos emerged online showing Bailey and DDG leaving a medical facility in Santa Monica. The images revealed Bailey with a visible baby bump, wearing an oversized hoodie and sweatpants. While many people assumed that the pictures confirmed her pregnancy, it’s important to note that the couple did not comment on them or intend them to be a confirmation. Bailey has always been entirely private about her personal life, so it’s unsurprising that she decided to wait until her child was born before going public with the news. She has also hesitated to share details about her relationship with DDG, only providing occasional glimpses of their dynamic in TikTok videos and interviews. When asked about her relationship while promoting The Little Mermaid, Bailey stated that she keeps her romantic life private for her peace and sanity.
