Jack Harlow Matches Drake’s Peak Position On The Charts As “Lovin On Me” Comes Back To The Top

Jack Harlow has occasionally been mentioned as Drake’s possible replacement in mainstream hip-hop, and the numbers are starting to support that theory.

Billboard revealed on Monday, January 8, that the 25-year-old’s song “Lovin On Me” has vaulted back to the top of their Hot 100 list. This is its second stint at the top of the chart; it peaked in early December the last time.

With that, the rapper has established himself as the first artist outside of Drake to top the chart four times in a row. Prior to this, he peaked at number one with his participation on Lil Nas X’s songs “Industry Baby” (2021), “First Class” (2022), and “Lovin On Me” (2023).

Drake, on the other hand, has had multiple No. 1 hits in a single year on various occasions. In this specific context, his run included the songs “Tootsie Slide” (2020), “What’s Next” and “Way 2 Sexy” (2021) with Future and Young Thug, a guest appearance on Future’s “Wait for U” and “Jimmy Cooks” (2022) with 21 Savage, and “Slime You Out” (2023) with SZA and J. Cole.

Two years ago, Drizzy and Harlow collaborated on the song “Churchill Downs,” which is off the latter’s album Come Home the Kids Miss You. Lil Yachty claims that the 6 God penned his whole verse for the song in less than ten minutes.
