Benzino Says He Doesn’t Talk To Daughter Coi Leray Anymore

Benzino, a well-known personality in the hip-hop industry, has been trying to give his daughter, Coi Leray, some space. Benzino’s career has been defined by challenging relationships, one of which was with Eminem. In the 2000s, Benzino rose to fame by picking a fight with Eminem, which led to a long-standing feud between the two rappers. However, his most tragic relationship has been with his daughter, Coi Leray.

Coi Leray has made a name for herself in the rap industry, but she has been constantly pushing and pushing regarding her relationship with her father. Recently, Benzino made controversial comments about R. Kelly, which led to Coi Leray disowning him. She announced X (formerly Twitter) on May 1, indicating that she would no longer have a relationship with her father. Later, Benzino confirmed this during his We In Miami podcast appearance.

During the podcast, the host asked Benzino about his relationship with his daughter, and he was brutally honest. He said, “It’s unfortunate, but we don’t communicate too much. The whole thing is surreal to me. I’m smart, but I can’t figure this out.” Benzino went on to interpret Leray’s side of the story and suggested that she had decided to go silent because she is a young and independent woman. He says the young generation doesn’t want their parents to interfere with their lives. Benzino’s account became even more heartbreaking when he revealed that he was also on the outs with some of his other children.

He said, “I must learn to adapt and respect that. It’s not just Coi; it’s a lot of my daughters. It’s hard for guys like me to have daughters and try to figure it out. It’s not the easiest thing.” He further claimed that his closeness with Coi Leray was compromised when she became a famous rapper. “I was the hero; my daughter looked up to me her whole life,” he asserted.

Benzino hopes that his strained relationship with Coi Leray is temporary and that they can repair their relationship at some point in the future. Meanwhile, Coi Leray has gotten attention for the wrong reasons on X. She recently tweeted that she was the female version of Lil Uzi Vert, but the hip-hop community let her know that wasn’t the case. Despite the challenges in their relationship, Benzino remains hopeful that he and Coi Leray can reconcile and have a healthy relationship.
