Drake Gets Another Trespasser At His Toronto Home

Rapper Drake is Toronto’s biggest star. His nickname, “6 God,” is a direct allusion to the city’s area code. But ever since he got involved in the Kendrick Lamar feud, things haven’t been easy for Drake in town. A member of his security was shot, and his OVO store was destroyed with the title of Kendrick Lamar’s most recent diss track. On May 9, the bad luck persisted. TMZ claims that an anonymous trespasser visited the artist. TMZ said the Toronto Police Department got a call on Thursday around 3:30 p.m. ET.

The caller claimed to be observing trespassers wandering about Drake’s land. When the cops came, the trespasser argued with Drake’s security. What happened between the trespasser and the rapper’s security is unknown. However, the former was later brought to the hospital. The details correspond with early-in-the-day rumours that an ambulance was seen close to the rapper’s estate. The person who trespassed has not been named.

This strange exchange of opinions has happened twice in the last two days. A separate trespasser approached Drake’s estate’s front gate on May 8. The individual was then taken into custody by the police. Concerning these incidents, the rapper has not released a statement. Nonetheless, he has discussed the problem of gun violence in Toronto. Drake opposed it when he appeared in the 2019 documentary Remember Me, Toronto. He also discussed how being well-known makes him a target and how hard it is to balance that with his desire to give back to the community.

“It’s a daunting path to try and be the biggest and worst from your ends,” he said. “It’s just way more impactful if you put all that energy into a grind so that people remember you and say, ‘I remember that guy who came around and gave us all a chance.’ Those are the people who get the glory story.” Hopefully, the rapper’s house isn’t the target of ongoing trespassing.
