Joeboy Announces New Music Under His New Record Label
Nigerian hit-maker Joeboy, who just parted ways with Empawa, is about to launch his 2024 career with a brand-new song. Joeboy delighted his fans on Monday, February 12, by hinting at a new song on social media. The release of the song “Osadebe” is scheduled for this Friday, February 16.

Joeboy became a sensation in 2019 after becoming popular with his smash song “Baby.” He has since achieved success with several more hit tracks. Joeboy, who was signed to Mr. Eazi’s Empawa label, released two albums and two EPs during his nearly six-year tenure on the company, enjoying enormous economic success.
Following the release of his second album, “Body & Soul,” and the EP, “Body, Soul, and Spirit,” in 2023, Joeboy announced his departure from Empawa at the beginning of 2024. Joeboy announced in the statement that he was launching his Young Legend brand and collaborating with Warner Music, an international music label.
He had gathered over 2 billion cumulative streams across DSPs at the time of his departure from his previous label. Joeboy will serve as CEO and Deola Jaiyesimi as Head of Label of the new Young Legend label, which will be tasked with producing the next generation of Afrobeats superstars for the international scene.
Joeboy’s first single since leaving Empawa is “Osadebe,” which marks the beginning of his partnership with Warner Music and Young Legend.
