Kanye West Has Praises For Chris Brown’s Diss Track Amidst Quavo Feud

Kanye West has always been perceived as unpredictable, and his recent appearance on The Download podcast has been no different. During the show, he made some controversial comments, such as stating that he would have sex with Michelle Obama, calling J. Cole a “p**sy,” and vowing to ruin Drake’s career. Despite this, he also admired several artists, including Chris Brown, whom he called a “god” in the music industry. In his view, Brown is an exceptional artist who deserves to thrive. West believes that restrictions plague the music industry and that truly great artists struggle to break through due to the “middlemen.” He even referenced his verse on “Carnival,” which mentions Brown, and rapped “I’m the new Jesus, b*tch. I turn water to Crist, this for what they did to Chris. They can’t do sh*t with this.”

Even though Ye and Brown have had spats in the past, this is not the first time that Kanye West has raved praise for Chris Brown or has come to his defense in the eyes of the public. Following Brown’s 2009 assault on Rihanna, West asked his fans to forgive the R&B singer. In 2020, he even gifted Brown a YEEZY truck, along with a letter congratulating Brown for his 20 years in the music industry. Despite their mutual admiration, West and Brown have been involved in public feuds with other hip-hop superstars. West released a remix of “Like That,” which took shots at Drake, while Brown’s diss track against Quavo, “Weakest Link,” was well-received. The muted response to Quavo’s “Over Hoes & B*tches” confirmed Brown’s victory. West, on the other hand, is still at war with Drake.
