Kanye West Shares On Why He’s Dissing Drake Again
In a recent interview on Justin LaBoy’s podcast, The Download, Kanye West discussed his involvement in the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. The Chicago artist had previously teased his “Like That” remix on social media, which he later played on the show with Metro Boomin’s approval. During the interview, LaBoy asked Kanye about his reconciliation with Drake at the Larry Hoover benefit concert in 2021. Kanye responded that Drake sold his soul to the devil, which hurt him deeply. He believes this is why he(Drake) has been going “against God” and cutting himself off from many in the industry.
Kanye also spoke about his motivation for the “Like That” remix, stating that Future had asked him to do the verse. He claims that many people in the rap game are excited to see shots taken at Drake, which is why the remix energized them. In addition, Kanye made some controversial claims about Sir Lucian Grainge, the head of UMG. He suggested that Grainge is Drake’s father due to the massive deal they signed and that he is a puppet of people who control the African banks. Kanye’s comments have sparked a lot of reaction on social media, with many fans questioning the validity of his claims.
