Khaid Releases The Tribute Song “Forever” In Honor Of Mohbad And Promises To Give His Wife N2 Million

Khaid releases a new song titled Forever as a means to help the family of the late Nigerian rapper Mohbad.

On September 13, 2023, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as the Nigerian rapper Mohbad, passed away at the age of 27. The rapper, who had previously been signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records, was remembered on social media by friends and fans despite the fact that the cause of his passing was unknown.

In a statement released today, September 19, 2023, Neville Records artist Khaid reaffirmed his promise to give Mohbad’s family two million naira in support and to give Mohbad’s son, Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa, 100% of the revenues from his just released tribute song, Forever.

It’s with great pain that I pen this, the past few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for each and every one of us. We lost a special talent, a great personality and a friend “Imole”.

Two days ago, the Nigerian police opened a formal investigation following his death to ascertain the circumstances of his passing. The Department of Security Services (DSS) has also been called by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to join the police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

He added requested anyone who might have important details that could help the inquiry to share them with the team conducting it. And, regarding autopsy, Falz’s sister and Femi Falana’s daughter, Folakemi Falana, has taken a proactive step in her search for explanations for the premature death of the late musician Mohbad.
