Mixed Reactions Trail Quavo’s Latest Chris Brown Diss
The ongoing feud between Quavo and Chris Brown has been nothing short of intense, with both artists firing off diss tracks left and right. Fans have been treated to a total of four diss tracks in just two weeks, with Brown releasing “Freaky” and “Weakest Link” and Quavo responding with “Tender” and “Over Hoes & B*tches.” Brown’s “Weakest Link” was a solid diss track in which he aimed at Quavo’s love life. Despite the inconsistent bars, Brown’s swagger and aggression made an impact, and fans were impressed. Quavo’s response in “Tender” was fast three days after Brown’s release. However, fans were left feeling underwhelmed by the track.
The inclusion of Takeoff, the late member of Migos and Quavo’s late nephew, in “Over Hoes & B*tches” was the most significant talking point. Although Takeoff handled the chorus, some fans found his involvement to be distracting, as he is not part of the feud. Brown also took to Instagram to mock the diss, stating that Takeoff raps better than Quavo. Fans appreciated the flow and production of the song but felt that it lacked energy and didn’t reveal anything new about Brown. Quavo’s diss track went after Brown’s drug use and bipolar disorder, but some fans criticized it for relying on negative tweets and Google searches about the R&B star. “Quavo’s whole diss was cultivating sh**ty tweets & google searches against Chris Brown,” wrote one user. Others blamed Quavo’s inner circle, stating that they should have warned him that responding with such a weak diss track was a bad idea.
