Mohbad’s Autopsy Results To Be Made Public In Four Weeks

The autopsy results of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, will be available in three to four weeks, according to Richard Somiari, Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, who stated as much on Wednesday.

In his testimony at the coroner’s inquiry into the singer’s death, Mr. Somiari provided the assurance. Inquest defense attorneys cross-examined the witness on Wednesday. The singer passed on last year on September 12, 2023, and was buried the next day, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). He was only 27.

A coroner’s inquest was ordered by the Lagos State Government in response to the controversy surrounding his death. The Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court is the venue for the inquest, which got underway on October 13, 2023. Public safety and sample monitoring for the autopsy were guaranteed by the forensic expert. Sadiq Ayobami, also known as Spendy, testified that he saw the dead just a day before his death.

The musician passed away before he came home from the performance they had both attended in Ikorodu, according to him. In regard to the singer’s child’s paternity, Abiodun Kolawole, an activist on behalf of the African Women Lawyers Association, advised the singer’s parents to take their issues to court rather than utilizing social media.

All parties involved in the inquest were instructed to be present on April 15, when the Coroner adjourned the proceedings.
