Speaking alongside Prince Jacon Osinachi, co-founder of AfrofutureDAO, Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife Group, and visual artist Laolu Senbanjo, he emphasized that Afrobeats is the next frontier for expanding and igniting the local creative economy. Mr. Eazi stated that music from the continent contributes to the export of African goods to other countries, shapes global culture, and boosts the economy. The artist claims that by doing this, Afrobeats fosters opportunities for cross-cultural engagement while preserving our heritage.

Mr. Eazi spoke on the infrastructure and equity participation in investment and other issues facing the African music business to conclude his side of the panel discussion. He urged prospective African musicians to view themselves as start-ups and invest more in their intellectual property, noting that intellectual property is one method to develop an “orange economy” for the African music sector.

The musician made these remarks after establishing Choplife Soundsystem, a brand-new pan-African music ensemble, to give sound system culture a contemporary African twist. Mr. Eazi was motivated to use the Choplife Soundsystem to spread the atmosphere and spirit of his popular Ghanaian holiday party Detty Rave. He has performed so far in Cotonou, Benin; Stockholm, Sweden; and Kigali, Rwanda, and he released “Wena,” the first official “Choplife Soundsystem” track.
