Mr. Eazi Has Announced The Release Date Of His New Album

The long-awaited, ten-year-in-the-making debut solo album from music superstar, entrepreneur, and global wanderer Mr. Eazi will be released on October 27, 2023. The 16-track album may now be pre-ordered. The announcement coincides with the debut of the lead song, “Chop Time, No Friend” and the music video that goes along with it, which was directed by Allison Swank Owen and was filmed in Dakar, Senegal.

“Chop Time, No Friend” is a lighthearted return to the Banku Music sound that Mr. Eazi pioneered and made popular with his early singles and mixtapes. The song “Chop Time, No Friend” was produced by Ghana’s Killbeatz, who also played a significant role in the production of Mr. Eazi’s ground-breaking 2017 mixtape Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1: Accra to Lagos, and Andre Vibez, the beatmaker behind Rema and Selena Gomez’s Billboard Top 10 single “Calm Down.”

The song’s music video was also released alongsid, directed by Allison Swank Owen, who had previously worked with Mr. Eazi on the documentary “Lagos to London: The Documentary,” which was inspired by the great creative spirit of Dakar, Senegal. While Mr. Eazi has not yet revealed the album’s title, he has provided a complete list of the producers who worked on it.
