Oxlade Admits He Wishes He Originally Performed Some Omah Lay And Fireboy’s Songs

Sensational Afrobeats singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, better known by his stage name Oxlade, has shared the songs he wishes he could sing. The 26-year-old expressed dissatisfaction for not singing Omah Lay’s “You” and Fireboy DML’s “King.” In a recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Oxlade made this statement. He stated that he would spiced up Omah Lay’s “You” with his sonorous vocals.

He also revealed how close he is with Fireboy, calling him his “best friend.” For the past three years, Oxy has been boiling on the verge of becoming a worldwide success. The 26-year-old singer is anticipated to follow in the footsteps of Wizkid, Rema, and Burna Boy as Nigeria’s next big crossover pop sensation because of his millions of streams and the career-launching endorsements of celebrities like Drake.

He most recently collaborated with renowned UK rapper Dave for his most recent song, “Intoxycated.” Additionally, a few months ago, Oxlade revealed that his most recent piece of body art was in celebration of American singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill in a video posted to his Instastory channel. Without saying much, he posted a picture of Hill sitting pretty on most of his arm.

Many fans were shocked by this announcement because they didn’t expect the outstanding vocalist to get a tattoo of another artist, though it meant more than just another body ink for Oxy.
