Party After Dark Tour: Pitbull And T-Pain Set To Bring “Y2k” Vibes Back

Pitbull and T-Pain were the undisputed kings of the 2000s, dominating the airwaves with their infectious hits like “Hotel Room Service” and “Buy U A Dr*nk.” Their music was synonymous with good times in a club setting, whether they were the leading artist or featured on a track. So it’s no surprise that they have teamed up for the highly anticipated “Party After Dark Tour” across North America. The tour is set to kick off on August 21 in Virginia and end on October 5 in New Mexico. Pitbull and T-Pain have promoted the tour on their social media accounts. Pitbull himself took to Instagram to share the exciting news:

“Get ready! I’m heading your way for the #PartyAfterDarkTour w/ special guest @TPAIN,”  “Tix on sale Friday at 10am. Daleeee.”

T-Pain also tweeted,

“HEY BABY GIRL WHATCHU DOING THIS FALL??? I’m going back on the road with my brother @pitbull.”

Pitbull and T-Pain, two popular aughts icons, are set to embark on a tour that will excite fans and include appearances from Lil Jon. Fans who attend the specific dates in Washington and California will have the bonus of seeing Lil Jon perform live. The duo has a brief but impressive track record, scoring a massive hit out of the gate with “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)” in 2011, which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. They followed it up with “Shake Senora” before taking a decade-long break from collaborating. However, they reunited last year for “Lit in the City,” which is expected to be a fan favourite on this tour.

Pitbull caused controversy during a 2021 show when he attacked critics of the United States. He once said onstage,

“To whoever the f**k doesn’t like the United States of America,”

“May God bless you, but f**k you at the same time.

Pitbull and T-Pain will perform on tour, showcasing their “wild side.” In an interview with the San Diego Tribune, Pitbull confidently reflected on his status as a “party rapper.” He unapologetically credited his tremendous success to residing in the United States, which he feels incredibly passionate about. However, Pitbull has now shifted his focus back to what he enjoys the most: making people dance and have fun.

“They always looking at Pitbull like, ‘Oh, he’s just the party guy. He’s just making these club anthems’,”

“[I] put these records out because I knew that people would enjoy them and it could feed their wild side.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale starting April 26 at 10 a.m. Despite any uncertainties, fans eagerly anticipate the opportunity to see these skilled artists perform live.
