Peruzzi Reveals 2Baba Mentorship In Podcast

In a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast on Pop Central, Nigerian singer Peruzzi opened up about his musical journey and his admiration for one of Nigeria’s most iconic musicians, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba. During the podcast, Peruzzi revealed that 2Baba is his mentor and has significantly influenced his music career. He admitted to copying 2Baba’s lyrics and musical style “a lot” and expressed his gratitude for the guidance and inspiration he has received from the veteran musician.

Peruzzi described himself as a “special” artist who is an all-rounder. He explained that he is not just a singer but also a songwriter and producer, taking pride in his ability to contribute to every aspect of his music. This revelation about Peruzzi’s admiration for 2Baba sheds light on the veteran musician’s impact on the Nigerian music industry and the younger generation of artists who look up to him as a role model.

 “2Baba is my daddy [mentor] . I copy from him a lot. If you listened to ‘Amaka’, you’d notice I copied his verse I just changed some things on it.
“Till now, I still copy from him. I have to say the truth.”
