Rema’s Sold-Out 02 Arena Concert Sees Afrobeats “Top Cats” In Attendance As Stars Marvel Crowd

Rema has solidified his place in the annals of African music and Afrobeats’ history. The Nigerian Afrobeats musician pulled off a ground-breaking performance on Tuesday at his “Ravage Uprising” gig at the 02 Arena in London by riding the stage on horseback. Wearing an all-black outfit and mask on top of a stationary horse, the 23-year-old amazing singer debuted in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,000 people at the legendary arena.

He performed his latest single, “DND,” and then a beautiful exhibition of Indian dance choreographers on either side of him, interspersed with a harmonized rendition of “Iron Man.” Rema spiced things up by performing on top of a huge bat at the point of the event. The 23-year-old music star sang hits like “Dirty,” “Ginger Me,” “Addicted,” “Why,” “Dimension,” “Soundgasm,” “Fame,” “HOV,” “Trouble Maker,” “Lady,” “Don’t Leave,” “Dumebi,” “Bounce,” and “Charm,” turning his melodic performance into a wild party.

As one of the night’s opening performers, Victony was live at the O2 Arena, entertaining a large crowd with his hit songs. The singer performed live at Davido’s O2 Arena show, so this isn’t his first time on stage. The night’s high point came when Rema’s fellow Mavin Records signees, Ayra Starr, Crayon, and Magixx, joined him on stage to perform “Won Da Mo.” Alongside Ayra Starr, who also sang her hit song “Rush,” Crayon sang his viral song “Ngozi.” Kcee was also there, demonstrating that the Ojapiano wave is not going away soon. Performing his huge worldwide hit, Calm Down, was the artist’s way to end the evening, capping another feather in the hat for Afrobeats artists.
