Selena Gomez May Quit Music Soon; Says She Has “Maybe Only One Album” Left In Her

Before she completely steps away from music, Selena Gomez claims she has “one more album” in her.

In 2020, the Disney alumna released her last album, “Rare,” in which she simultaneously made music and acted in many TV series and movies. Gomez achieved fame as a musician, but she hasn’t performed live since she postponed her 2016 “Revival” tour because of mental health issues related to her lupus diagnosis. She had done 55 gigs at the time before experiencing what her friend described as a “psychotic break.” After the tour, Gomez sought therapy at a mental health centre and was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Gomez took a mental health sabbatical and started treatment a third time two years later. She did, however, appear at a mental health discussion at the White House in May 2022 after becoming a champion for mental health after pursuing therapy. The 31-year-old multihyphenate has issued three albums since her 2013 first solo endeavour, “Stars Dance.” Gomez stated this during the scheduled January 7 release of an edition of the “Smartless” podcast, which E! News acquired.

“I started having a lot of fun with music and then touring was really fun,”

“But I was doing my TV show [“Wizards of Waverly Place”] at the same time and I just found it really fun so I just kept going,” she recalled. “But the older I get, the more I’m kind of like, ‘I would like to find something to just settle on.’”

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer and “Only Murders In the Building” actress said,

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting. I am gonna wanna chill because I’m tired.”
