In an exclusive interview with BBC’s Capital One Extra, rising artist and entertainer Seyi Vibez disclosed the sources of inspiration for his sound and style of music. Following the successful release of his most recent EP, NAHAMciaga, which is presently creating waves everywhere, the gifted musician, who had earlier announced he was the first artist to be signed under his newly debuted record label, shared his opinion on his music in a radio tour interview.
When asked where he finds inspiration for his work as an artist, Seyi Vibez, known for fusing various sounds, disclosed that one of the main factors influencing his sound and musical style was rediscovering his African heritage, as he was greatly influenced by foreign music as a child. He continues by highlighting the current Afrobeats movement’s rise and popularity and pointing out that musicians are making every effort to include the nation’s culture into their music—a strategy he has been using with his style.
