Shatta Wale Lambast The Ghana Music Community; Labels It ” A Disgrace”

Ghanaian Dancehall, artiste, and celebrity Shatta Wale has criticized his country’s music drive and setup and suggests that their Nigerian counterparts are miles ahead of them in the entertainment and music scenes.

Shatta Wale, known to have consistently attacked the Nigerian music community months back with allegations of refusing to aid sister nations in their musical growth, has now come out to give the stick, this time to his people. Calling the Ghana music community “a disgrace,” Shatta Wale was scathing in his Twitter rant.

Shatta Wale said this in a tweet as he urged the Ghanaian entertainment industry to take action and upgrade its performances and packaging to the global community just like the Nigerian music and entertainment scene is doing.

In his criticism tweet, he says he “needs a record label to sign him,” and Ghana music needs to wake up. However, he acknowledged the efforts of the Nigerian show promoters and executives.

The tweet, though, was met with mixed reactions on social media as some agreed to his assertions and believed the Nigerian music scenes are doing better than their counterparts, as seen in the number of high-profile international collaborations, awards, and shows and this reflects the heights they have attained and the measures that have been put in place to foster their development.

Others vehemently disagreed and even called out the Superstar for his outburst.
