Spice Girls Commemorate 30th Anniversary With “Never Seen Before” Footage

The Spice Girls have recently celebrated a significant milestone: the 30th anniversary of their audition to form the girl band. Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, and Melanie Chisholm responded to an advertisement by Heart Management in The Stage magazine in 1994, which led to the formation of the legendary group.

Although the band split in 2000, they reunited in 2007 for a stunning performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony without Victoria Beckham. The band reunited again in 2019 and played a 10-stop UK and Ireland stadium tour, which was a massive hit among fans. Recently, Mel B hinted that there would be another Spice Girls reunion and teased that the band would soon share “some good news,” which has left fans of the band excited and curious.

To commemorate this special occasion, the band released a mesmerizing video featuring a montage of unseen moments, rehearsals, and choreography, all set to their iconic 1996 hit song ‘Wannabe’. The video showcases the band’s remarkable talent, energy, and unique bond, making them a worldwide household name. Additionally, Royal Mail issued 15 special-edition stamps in honour of the band’s anniversary, which feature the Spice Girls’ famous album covers and iconic images, making them a collector’s item for band fans.

On X this week, their post reads,

“Today marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Spice Girls auditions!”  “What started back in 1994 has turned into an amazing journey, way beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Thank you to our fans for your support from day one.”
