SZA reveals that her “Kiss Me More” collaborator Doja Cat will feature on her forthcoming single, “Shirt.”
It is about to be an even more interesting year because SZA and Doja Cat are returning with another single. If you loved their Grammy-winning hit song “Kiss Me More,” you’ll want to hear this.
During her set at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival, SZA began playing her highly anticipated unreleased song “Shirt.” Remember, over a year ago, the “Ctrl” star shared a snippet of the song on social media with a dance routine that subsequently went viral. However, she did not release the song after.
While onstage in Madrid, the Grammy winner revealed that a big star would be featured on the song’s final version. Speaking to the audience, she said, “Want to know a secret? You all want to know who’s on this song? It’ll be our little secret, right?” Then, she shared a few hints on the artist’s identity, saying, “We already have a song together. Her name starts with a D, and it rhymes with Soulja.”
Earlier this year, in April, the two females won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. They both had amazing things to say about each other. SZA has also stated that Doja is on her way to becoming the next Britney Spears. She said, “You’re going to be a f**king global, like, number one sensation. Cause there’s never been anybody like you. You’re literally about to be Britney Spears, and I can’t wait.”
Hopefully, she reveals a date for the release of the forthcoming collaboration. Who knows? This could also bag the ladies another Grammy Award. Cheers to that.
