T.I. Responds To The Report That He Punched Drew Taggart Of The Chainsmokers
T.I. claims it was all love and explains that they went out for a shot afterward. He also invited the EDM group to appear on his podcast. Hip-hop and EDM collaborations are usually amazing, but they don’t often lead to fights. Drew Taggart of the dance duo The Chainsmokers attempted to kiss T.I. on the cheek, and in response, the rapper swung at the 32-year-old producer and singer.
The Atlanta trap pioneer, recently recognized with an Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award for his volunteer work in the community, later made it clear in a video that it was merely an incident and that he has no genuine beef with The Chainsmokers, even revealing some of the fun they had that night.
“Love The Chainsmokers, man, they make great music,” expressed T.I. He also smiled when he said that other than Taggart’s testimony, which has received extensive coverage on social media and in the blogosphere, there isn’t much more to the story.
“He was like ‘Don’t do that’ and I was like ‘Okay.'” disclosed Drew, with reference to the incident.”He punched me in the face and I was like ‘Okay, I’m sorry,’ and he was like, ‘Alright, cool, we’re good.’ It was the weirdest interaction ever… T.I. is fully in the right here.”
