Tems Announces The Release Date For Her Next Highly-Anticipated Single, “Love Me Jeje”

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Tems has finally announced the release date for her new song, “Love Me Jeje,” on Monday, April 22, and it’s coming out sooner than you might expect!

Through her social media pages, the singer made the announcement, stating that on Friday, April 26, “Love Me Jeje” will be released.

She gave her debut performance of the unreleased track during her first set at Coachella’s first weekend, leading the audience through the chorus of “Love me jeje, love me tender.” Seyi Sodimu, a Nigerian singer-songwriter best known for his 1997 hit song “Love Me Jeje,” which featured Shafy Bello, posted a video of Tems singing her song at Coachella on Instagram last week.

Tems had another surprise in store for her Coachella performance on the first weekend. She invited Justin Bieber and Wizkid to sing their Billboard Hot 100 No. 9 hit song, “Essence.” The forthcoming single’s announcement comes after the Nigerian singer-songwriter-producer had previously announced that her debut album, “Born in the Wild” would be out in May.

In addition, “Me & U” and “Not an Angel,” two of her tracks that she released at the end of the previous year, both peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.  At Billboard Women in Music in March, she gave her first performance of “Not an Angel.” Savannah James presented Tems with the Breakthrough Award as well.
