Tems Reveals The Title And Release Window For Her Highly-Anticipated Debut Album
Afrobeat sensation, Tems, has finally revealed the name and release date of her debut album, ending years of anticipation.
Grammy Award-winning musician Tems revealed the name of her debut album with an engrossing video announcement on April 15, 2024. She graciously disclosed the title of her eagerly awaited album on all social media platforms: Born in the Wild. She also gave a release window of May 2024 for the official album release.
Tems had stated that her record was “a 1000% ready” to Billboard Magazine when she accepted her Women in Music award. She also hosted an invitation-only listening party for professionals in the field. Viewers are treated to nostalgic images of Lagos, Tems’ homeland, in the announcement video.
Her lovely voice can be heard in the background, singing the title track from her upcoming album, Born in the Wild, as scenes from her hometown are shown. With her voice echoing the background song’s words, the video deftly switched between shots of Tems as a younger person and her current self.

She recently brought out Justin Bieber and Wizkid to perform their song, Essence, as a surprise for her fans during her Coachella performance. In the same vein, she also gave a performance of “Love Me Jeje,” an unreleased track off her forthcoming debut album.
