Tems Verifies Her Highly Anticipated Debut Album Is “1,000% Coming Out” In 2024

Tems’ much-anticipated debut album will eventually be published in 2024!

Having written songs for Beyoncé and Rihanna, the Nigerian singer revealed that she is currently working on the body of work. In an interview with Billboard that was released on Monday, March 4, the hit song “Free Mind” singer declared that her album “is 1,000 percent coming out this year.” She continued, saying, “I’m not thinking too much about outcomes.”

In December 2023, Tems made her album debut with “Not An Angel,” however the album’s name and track listing are still unknown. Speaking on the record, she described the song as “about knowing your worth and moving on in life from anything holding you back.” Following “Me & U,” the artist’s debut single of that year, it was released months later.

Tems’ most recent solo endeavor is If Orange Was A Place from 2021. Brent Faiyaz had a single feature on the EP in addition to songs like “Crazy Tings” and “Found.” That same year, she made another appearance on Drake’s “Fountains” from Certified Lover Boy. The vocalist was featured on Future’s massive hit song “WAIT FOR U” in 2022, meantime.

She also discussed the increasing impact of Afrobeats in other parts of their chat. Two acts that she mentioned as exceptional were Ayra Starr and Tyla, the latter of whom just won a Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance.
