The Kid Laroi Documentary Slated To Debut This February On Prime Video

On February 29, a new documentary titled “Kids Are Growing Up,” which follows the life and quick ascent to popularity of Australian rapper-singer Kid Laroi, will be accessible for streaming on Prime Video. The documentary is being directed by Amazon’s MGM Studios and is being produced by OBB Pictures, OBB Media’s film and television subsidiary.

The film, which is being directed and produced by Grammy Award nominee and founder and CEO of OBB Media Michael D. Ratner, will focus on Laroi’s life and musical journey from his upbringing to his “global rise to fame” and will feature interviews with Laroi as well as some of his peers and mentors in the music industry, such as Post Malone and Justin Bieber.

Following his performance in a local competition in 2016, Laroi gained the attention of business leaders. With their help, he was able to share the stage with the late Juice Wrld, who he regarded as a close friend and mentor, as well as others. His debut EP, “14 With A Dream,” which included the breakthrough song “Blessings,” was recorded in 2018.

Laroi’s popularity was further cemented by his breakthrough hit “Stay,” which spent six of its 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. He also did a freestyle rap over Drake’s Tay Keith-produced “Nonstop,” which only served to further establish his reputation.
