On Tuesday, February 13th, he shared several pictures that provide a sneak peek into the music studio where he is creating new music. These photos include one where The Weeknd stands confidently behind a microphone, which has left many fans excited about the possibility of new music.

The singer’s recent teaser comes a month after he posted the album covers for his 2020 album, ‘After Hours,’ and 2022’s ‘Dawn FM,’ along with a third black slide with a white question mark in the middle and a parental advisory warning label. The caption “3” indicates that a third and final installment of the album trilogy is in the works.  The Weeknd’s recent Instagram Stories have given fans a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, and they are eagerly anticipating the release of his next album.

In a May 2023 interview with W Magazine, The Weeknd confirmed that his next studio album will be his final one under the name The Weeknd. This final album is expected to be the grand finale of his successful career under this moniker. Fans are eager to know what the artist has planned for them on this last album and await its release. He said,

 “It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn,” The album I’m working on now is probably my last hurrah as The Weeknd. This is something that I have to do. As The Weeknd, I’ve said everything I can say.”
