Tiwa Savage Postpones Her Concert Dates Owing To Health Issues

Due to health difficulties, global superstar Tiwa Savage has canceled her OVO Wembley Arena performance and all of her tour dates set for November. The award-winning singer is battling a vocal infection and will be on vocal rest for the foreseeable future. This option is unlikely for the legendary singer, given that 2023 has been a successful year for her.

The singer made the news earlier today, Tuesday, October 17, 2023, via her Instagram page. This comes after her thrilling performance at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle and releasing back-to-back songs including Gbese starring Majeeed, NSV featuring Bella Shmurda, and Stamina featuring Ayra Starr and Young Jonn.

The Queen of Afrobeats was supposed to appear as the headliner at the OVO Wembley Arena on November 26, however the show has been canceled owing to a voice illness. She would have been the first female Afrobeats musician to perform as the arena’s headlining act. In her official statement, she expressed her frustration, though her hands were tied on the decision.

Tiwa Savage is hardly the only musician to take a break this year due to health concerns. Famous Drake took a hiatus due to gastrointestinal concerns, and Tems postponed a concert in 2022 as a result of health problems.
