Tyla Teases Fans With A Possible “Water” Remix Featuring An Undisclosed Guest Artist
Tyla, the South African Afrobeats superstar, has hinted that a remix of her global summer hit, “Water,” will be released soon.
The fast-rising talent from South Africa and the youngest-ever Grammy nominee, teased on Instagram that a remix to her hit song “Water,” is on its way and that it was coming with a feature. However, she made it unclear who her choice of guest feature was.
Tyla simply posted the phrase “Guess Who” in the post’s caption, along with two photos. The first was a steamy photo of her showing her bare back, clear skin and a “T” pendant hanging down her back, which might be the remix’s cover art. The second photo had a greater portion of it blurred out, leaving the scribbled words, “Water remix.”
The track went viral on TikTok thanks to the viral South African dance, which hundreds of fans used in their videos to showoff their dancing prowess in the ‘Water Dance Challenge.’ The breakthrough smash hit ended Rema and Selena Gomez’s 58-week run at No. 1 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
She was also recognized as the “R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month” by Billboard in October. Additionally, Tyla was nominated for the first time by the Recording Academy when they revealed the list of nominees for the 66th Grammy Awards.
