Veteran NTA News Anchor, Aisha Bello, Has Passed Away

Social media and all of Nigeria is reeling at the loss of Aisha Bello Mustapha, a well-known Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) broadcaster. Nigerians have been reacting in droves to the devastating news of her death that broke this morning, Monday, December 11.

There are currently no known details about the cause of her death. That being said, Aisha retired in May 2022, capping an incredible 35-year career in the television sector. Aisha’s vast range of expertise included journalism, radio, television production, editing, and her noteworthy position as General Manager of NTA Parliament.

She became one of NTA’s most respected voices thanks to her professionalism and unique manner, which left a lasting impression on the broadcast sector. The impact of Aisha Bello on Nigerian media is enormous.

Beginning her career at NTA, Aisha worked her way up to Assistant Director of News, General Manager of NTA Parliament, and one of the most prominent presenters on NTA Network News in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Her passion for learning led her to graduate from Ahmadu Bello University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and media studies. Aisha Bello Mustapha’s funeral prayer is set to take place on Monday at 1 pm at the National Mosque in Abuja, according to a trustworthy source within the NTA.
